CHBA Update - August 27

 

With the hockey season fast approaching, we wanted to send out some reminders and point you to some new areas of our website.

Registration

We have over 400 players registered already! Registration closes on September 20 when final payments are due. Any players who register after will not be able to participate in tryouts. The process to register online using the Hockey Canada Register is causing some unexpected delays in their report structure. It will make it easier for us if you register as soon as you are able before September 20. Thank you.

A reminder for any 2018 registrations, you are required to upload a proof of residency and any player registered in the U7 Division (2016-2017-2018) has to upload a copy of a birth certificate as required by Hockey Canada.

Checking Clinic

All players trying out for a rep U15 or U18 team need to have completed an approved Checking Clinic. If you do not have a checking clinic you cannot attend tryouts.  CHBA is running a clinic September 29-30.

Conditioning Camp (U9-U11-U13-U15-U18)

Running Saturday September 10 until September 30.  Registration for camps closes September 2. We will post groups and ice times by the 5th.

Goalie Development Pilot Program

We are excited to announce a new pilot program with Todd Bengert, our new Goaltender Development Consultant for the upcoming season.

We will have dedicated on-ice sessions for ALL registered goalies in the association in September. We will share those dates soon.

U7 Orientation

The U7 Development program will begin with 4 orientation sessions in the month of September starting on September 10. Groupings and Ice times will be communicated by September 5th.

Last Call for Coaches.

 

A great response so far with over 110 coaches applying to coach this season. This google form will close Sunday night.
