BUILDING BETTER PLAYERS. BUILDING BETTER PEOPLE.

The Cole Harbour Bel Ayr Minor Hockey Association is proud to support Hockey Nova Scotia’s mandatory U15 Player Education Program, delivered in partnership with Avalon Sexual Assault Centre.

Over the coming weeks, all of our U15 teams will participate in two educational sessions focused on:

Respect, Boundaries & Consent – Understanding personal boundaries, respecting others, and building healthy relationships.

Care & Bystander Action – Recognizing inappropriate behaviour, supporting teammates, and having the confidence to speak up.

Our U15 players will participate in these sessions together as teams at Cole Harbour Place, with members of their coaching staffs present.

Why does this matter?

Hockey is about more than what happens on the ice. It's about developing young people who understand respect, accountability, teamwork, and the importance of looking out for one another.

We spend countless hours teaching our players how to compete and succeed in hockey. We believe it is equally important to help them develop the skills to make positive decisions away from the rink.

Every player deserves a safe, respectful, and inclusive hockey environment.

We thank Hockey Nova Scotia and Avalon Sexual Assault Centre for bringing this important education to our players and our coaches and families for supporting it.

Proud to be Wings.
