U15 B

U15 B  REP TRYOUT INFORMATION PAGE

Please see below for the U15 B Tryout Schedule. Reminder that this is subject to change so please check back regularly. We will post any changes on this page.

The dedicated U15 B Phase 2 tryout process will not begin until the U15 AA/A tryout process has been completed. However, players are required to participate in Phase 1 alongside the U15 AA/A players. This allows all U15 players to be evaluated and receive scores during the individual skills portion of the tryout process.

Please note that releases from U15 AA/A do not impact U15 B tryouts. The last releases of the U15 A team do not automatically get rostered to the B roster.

Following the completion of U15 AA/A, the U15 B tryout process will consist of three tryout sessions.

These sessions may include a combination of:

  • 2 Intersquad games;
  • An exhibition game against another association.

An exhibition game is scheduled as part of the U15 B evaluation process, player releases to U15 C will occur prior to the exhibition game in order to establish an appropriate roster size for that session.

12 Fowards, 8 Defence, and 3 Goalies will be named. 3 forwards, 2 Defence and 1 goalie will be parked and will be rostered to the team before the exhibition game. .

MANDATORY TRYOUT JERSEY PICK UP

REMINDERS

No parents are permitted to enter the rinks during individual skills or intersquad games. Please have your player arrive at least 30 minutes before their scheduled ice time and check in at the front desk in the lobby between Scotia 1 and Scotia 2.

Players must bring both tryout jerseys to every session. For the first session, defence will wear BLUE and forwards will wear RED, but please bring both jerseys in case changes are required.

Coaches and dressing room monitors will be available to assist players with skates or equipment and make sure everyone is fully prepared before going on the ice.

Helmet Stickers & Outside Program Apparel:
Any helmet stickers identifying spring teams, elite programs, AAA leagues, hockey schools, or other outside hockey programs must be removed or completely covered with tape for the duration of tryouts. The same applies to identifying socks from outside hockey programs. Players should wear Wings socks or plain-coloured socks without outside program logos.

Please check your player’s equipment before leaving home. Make sure:

  • All required equipment is in the hockey bag
  • Helmet screws and straps are secure
  • Skates are sharpened and ready
  • Skate laces are in good condition and not close to breaking
  • Sticks are taped and ready for use

Every year we see players scrambling at the rink to replace broken or worn skate laces, fix helmet issues, or find missing equipment. Taking a few minutes to check everything at home will help make sure your player can arrive, get dressed and focus on their tryout.

Thank you for helping us keep the tryout process organized and allowing the players to focus on their time on the ice.
